 Castor oil plant, Ricinus communis, is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae.  It belongs to a monotypic genus, Ricinus, and subtribe, Ricininae. 






Castor oil contains vitamin E, minerals, proteins, antibacterial and anti-fungicidal properties. The Castor Oil website attributes its healing benefits to its unusual chemical composition, which consists of a triglyceride of fatty acids with ricinoleic acid of up to 90 percent. In addition to healing benefits, castor oil also is an excellent emollient and humectant for skin and hair,  a treatment for hair thinning and hair loss, essential to revents the dry and itchy scalp and has anti-fungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties- so it can be effective for treating skin/scalp infections like ringworm.

To use castor oil for hair regrowth, it is usually mixed with others oil. You can use coconut oil, emu oil or olive oil as well to mix in a half and half ratio for hair growth by doing the following:

Mix castor oil with olive oil, coconut oil, or emu oil.

Part your hair into manageable sections

Apply the castor oil mixture to the hair sections and the scalp until all your hair are covered

Wrap your hair and let sit for 3 hours up to overnight.

Wash your hair and marvel at home soft and manageable it is.
